how it works

STEP 1: CONSULTATION

We meet to talk about the details of the big day. Together we review paper samples, swatches, colors, typography, wording and all your specifics. Along the way, we use our talents, experience and expertise to guide you to an initial design. After the consultation, you will receive an estimate for the design discussed.

STEP 2: DESIGN AND PROOFING

A 50% deposit starts the process of creating the wedding paper suite of your dreams.  Every detail is designed in house and a pdf proof is created. You will get the opportunity to review all pieces and witness your vision become reality.

STEP 3: PRINT, PRODUCTION AND ASSEMBLY

Upon final approval of the design, the remaining balance is due.  Once received, we will get busy purchasing the necessary stock, component pieces and coordinating with our trusted network of commercial printers and letterpress printers.  All pieces are shipped to the studio and assembled by hand by our team.  We will then schedule with you a time to pick up your suite.  We also offer UPS shipping service upon request.

frequently asked questions

1. Can I customize the invitations with my wedding colors?

Yes, all invitations can be customized with your wedding colors, typography, wording and even the printing method (flat printing, thermography and letterpress).

2. I live out of town and can not make it into the studio for the consultation.  Can we do this remotely?

Yes, we work with couples from around the world.  Whenever possible, we encourage couples to come into our Baltimore studio for the initial consultation (we promise, you’ll love looking at all the paper).  If an in-studio consultation is not possible, we can chat through a phone call.

3. How long does the process take?

While every client and wedding is different, a typical timeframe would be about 6-10 weeks (on average). We always encourage booking as soon as possible. Once the design is approved, flat printing requires approximately three weeks, while letterpress or foil stamping takes four weeks.  Assembly of all pieces is usually accomplished in 1-2 weeks after printing time.  In total, we recommend scheduling an initial consultation at least 5-6 months from your wedding for invitations.

4. How many pieces should I order?

Please remember, each couple or household receives a single save the date and/or invitation.  A general rule of thumb is to take your guest list count, divide that number in half then add 10-15. Therefore, if you have 200 guests total, you would order about 100-110 invitations.

5. I already have a design, can you print it for me?

No.  While we are a full service stationery studio, we only print and produce our own designs.
